Welcome Peruvian Food Lovers who happen to live outside Peru

How often you visit a peruvian restaurant? Often or not here is place to share your experience either good or bad. Your comments will help all peruvian restaurants owners to better their services, I personally love the food of Los Balcones a peruvian restaurant in Los Angeles. you like peruvian food...? then you have to check out Wakatay in gardena!it a failry new restaurant combining two of the hugely influencing cultures in peru...chinese and japanese. The restaurant offers all the norms like ceviches, saltados, and a lot of seafood dishes like jalea and pescado a lo macho. But the also have an extended chifa (or peruvian chinsese food)menu and a really creative japanese menu.

I don't mean like traditional sushi and udon....what they offer thier customers are dishes like okinawan soba, causa nikkei, tiradito nikkei etc. They are dishes created by the owner Jorge Nakamoto...where he takes traditional peruvian dishes and rearranges some ingredients and introduces japanese ingredients to creat fusion dishes....and believe me they are as good if not better than the traditional!

you can check them out at www.wakatayrestaurant.com
